You probably already knew this episode is interesting from a historical standpoint (and there's some interesting incorrect predictions about who will run in the then-upcoming election), so I'll add that this episode features the really cool CBS eye ident ("This is the CBS Television Network"). Fans of bad kinescope recordings will note that there is a bit of flicker during the episode, you know the kind, appearing about a third down the screen from the top (presumably meaning that the 16mm film camera and TV monitor used in recording the live broadcast had become slightly out-of-sync with each other). Such problems with kinescopes were not unheard of in 1951, although they later became much rarer.
But seriously, interesting episode.
